Luxembourg to increase intermodal rail links

June 05, 2019. The CLIP Intermodal container terminal in Poznan Swarzędz, Poland and Luxembourg multimodal company CFL are to begin four roundtrip rail services a week between Swarzędz and CFL’s terminal in Bettembourg-Dudelange, Luxembourg by the end of the year.

The train, with a capacity for 37 intermodal units, will accept containers, craneable semi-trailers as well as non-craneable semi-trailers on the 1,000 kilometre route

In a related move the Port of Trieste and CFL have signed an MoU to promote multimodal logistics between Trieste and CFL’s Luxembourg hub that has nine roundtrip rail services a week. This will increase to 12 by the end of the year says CFL.
